Home minister urges BCL men not to involve in evil activities
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday urged the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to work for the upcoming national election instead of involving themselves in evil activities.
He made the appeal while addressing an exhibition titled ‘Alokchittre Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ (Bangabandhu and Bangladesh in Photography) held at Shoparjito Shadhinota Sculpture in Dhaka University campus, reports the UNB.
BCL organised the program to mark the 98th birth anniversary of Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
BCL President Saifur Rahman Sohag presided over the meeting while National University Vice Chancellor (VC) Harun-Or Rashid, Jagannath University VC Mijanur Rahman and BCL ex-general secretary Mahfuzul Haider Chowdhury Roton, among others, addressed the program.
Kamal said, ‘BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi earlier said that the celebration of ‘graduation of Bangladesh from LDC’ was a ‘distorted celebration’, that is a very shameful remark.’
‘Bangladesh had secured championship for four terms and 2nd position once in corruption index during BNP tenure but no corruption has touched Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,’ he added.
