BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu released on bail
Dhaka: BNP vice-chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu was released from jail on bail on Wednesday.
Dudu walked out of the Keraniganj Central Jail around 3:00pm after his bail order reached the jail authorities, reports the UNB.
He said he got bail from the High Court recently in two cases he was implicated, paving the way for his release.
On Feb 12 last, plainclothes police picked up Shamsuzzaman Dudu near Matshya Bhaban on his way back home after joining BNP’s a human chain programme in front of the Jatiya Press Club protesting its chief Khaleda Zia’s imprisonment.
Later, he was shown arrested in two political violence cases.
Earlier on Tuesday, BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy was released from the same jail on bail, over two months after his arrest.
