Dhaka: Fatema Amin, mother of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, died at a city hospital on Thursday afternoon. She was 92.

Fatema who had long been suffering from various old age complications, breathed her last at Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital around 12:00noon, said BNP chairpersons media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

She is survived by three sons, four daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her death.

On March 1, Fatema Amin was admitted to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in the city following her illness.
