Seven members of new ‘extremist group’ held in Ctg

Chittagong: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested seven members of new militant group ‘Din for Extreme’ from near a mosque in Kazir Deuri area of the port city on Friday.
Mimtanur Rahman, assistant director (media) of RAB-7, claimed that ‘Din Force Extreme’ is associated with Islamic State militant group, reports the UNB.
The arrestees are: Mahiuddin Tamim, Afzal Imran, Daud Nabi Palash, Chowdhury Mohammad Ridwan, Mohammad Faruk, MM Dewan Zafar and Muntasir Rahman.
Being informed that a new extremist group was carrying out their activities in the area, a team of RAB conducted a drive there and arrested them, said the RAB official.
They also recovered some books containing Islamic statements, three laptops and two motorcycles from their possession.
