Besides, a minor girl has been raped in Faridpur while a madrasah teacher held in Jashore for trying to rape a girl.

The arrestees are victim’s neighbour Faruque, 28, and his cousin Shahin, 26, said officer-in-charge of Lalmohan Police Station Mir Khairul Kabir.

He said the duo took the girl, a Class-V student, to a bush while returning to school after buying biscuit from a nearby shop, and raped her in turns.

In Kishoreganj, six miscreants picked up a teenage girl from her house under Adampur union in Astagram upazila on April 12 evening after she refused the love proposal of one of them.

They took her to an isolated place and violated her in turns.

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members arrested the six rapists from Doyarbazar in Companiganj upazila of Sylhet on Thursday morning.

College Principal Dr Khabirul Islam said the girl came to the canteen along her mother like every day. As the canteen was almost empty, its owner M Aminur violated the girl.
