Dhaka: Police recovered the body of a five-year-old boy from a septic tank in Bhashantek Rehabilitation Project residential area of Dhaka on Monday morning, reports local news agency.

The Bhashantek police sub-inspector Nuruzzaman said Sajid Khan, who was 5 years old, son of Osman Khan, went missing on Sunday afternoon.

After a search, his father Osman spotted the footwear of Sajid in a septic tank of the project area at about 7:00am, added Nuruzzaman.

The police sub-inspector said fire fighters and police went to the spot and retrieved the body from the tank.

Sajid might have drowned in the tank while playing in the area, said  police.
