Benapole: Police on Monday arrested two youths in connection with the killing of easy-bike driver Rubel Hossain from Chanchra Raypara area of Jessore town.

Police also recovered the body of slain easy-bike driver Rubel, 25, from under the Bablatala Bridge in Barandipara area of the town earlier on Sunday night. Rubel went missing since Saturday night, according to family members.

Kotwali police officer-in-charge Abul Kashem said they were informed by locals about the body and recovered it at about 10:30pm.

Later, they conducted a drive in Chanchara Raypara area, suspecting several youths living there, and arrested two friends of Rubel at about 2:30pm.

During primary interrogation, they have admitted their involvement in the killing of their friend, the OC added.

The deceased’s father filed a case with Kotwali Police Station in this connection.
