Chittagong: A man was shot dead by miscreants at Sobujbagh in Sadar upazila of Chittagong on Thursday night.

The deceased is Nur Mohammad, 37, a land broker of the area.

Halishahar police officer-in-charge Shahjahan Kabir said Nur Mohammad along with his neighbour Akbar Hossain went to Sabujgagh after a phone call, where the miscreants opened fires at Nur around 10:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, the miscreants stabbed Akbar Hossain with sharp weapons.

Critically injured, Akbar was admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.

On information, police recovered the body of Akbar and sent it to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
