30 hurt in Sylhet clash

Sylhet: At least 30 people were injured, including 10 with bullets, in a clash between two rival groups at Shahjirgaon village in Bishwanath, Sylhet on Monday night.
Police said there had been a longstanding dispute between Abdul Manik and Rafique Ali of the village over the ownership of a piece of land.
The clash ensued following an altercation between the supporters of the both groups.
The feuding groups equipped with homemade weapons attacked each other during the melee, leaving 20 people injured from the both sides.
They also fired gunshots at each other, leaving 10 people injured with bullets.
The injured were taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-charge of Bishwanath Police Station Masudur Rahman said a police team rushed in and brought the situation under control.
