Policeman killed in Dhaka road accident

Dhaka: A police constable was killed as he got sandwiched between two racing buses at Dhaka’s Gulistan on Tuesday.
Constable Julhas, 35, had been posted at the Protection and Protocol Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, according to a UNB report.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) officials said Julhas was caught between the two buses when they were recklessly trying to overtake one another near Gulistan Ahad Police Box at about 8:45am.
He was taken to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries at about 6:00pm.
Son of Shamsul Haque of Brahmanpara in Comilla district, Julhas used to reside at Bibir Bagicha in Jatrabari.
The body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
