Dhaka: The 29th council of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, will be held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Friday.

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the two-day council at 3:00pm by hoisting national and party flags.

Bangladesh Chhatra League, the country’s oldest student organisation, began its journey on January 4, 1948, with the fundamentals of education, peace and progress.
