CU Chhatra League committee suspended after clash

Chittagong: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) committee of the Chittagong University (CU) unit has been suspended following a clash between two factions of the student wing of ruling party.
Chhatra League General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain on Wednesday morning told NTV Online that BCL central committee decided to postpone the committee and its programme on Tuesday night.
The Chhatra League leader said the CU unit committee was suspended as it was involved with anti-disciplinary activities.
Jakir Hossain said the central committee also asked CU BCL committee to submit written reply in three days on why President Alamgir Tipu, and General Secretary Fazle Rabbi Sujan would not be withdrawn.
The BCL general secretary said further decision will be taken after the CU committee submit their report.
Earlier on 8 February, at least six people were injured during a clash between the supporters of Tipu and Sujan over establishing their supremacy.
