NTV celebrates second anniversary in grand style in 2005

Dhaka: The first automation-based private satellite television station of Bangladesh, International Television Channel Ltd (NTV), celebrated its second founding anniversary on 3 July in 2005.
With the slogan ‘Somoyer Sathe Agamir Pothe’ (heading towards the future with time) holding Bangla language and culture close to heart, Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali on 3 July 2003 established the NTV.
The television channel celebrated its second anniversary with much pomp and magnificence.
Noted socialites, political leaders and cultural figures attended the ceremony as honourable guests and some of the guests addressed the audience.
Chairman of NTV and the then lawmaker Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali, in his speech, said, ‘I wish all the best to NTV staff and audiences from home and abroad. And I wish we will be able to continue producing our standard programmes as the audiences required like the previous two years.
Among others, veteran singer Runa Laila, noted film director Chashi Nazrul Islam (now deceased), film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist Amjad Hossain and veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi spoke on the occasion to congratulate NTV family on its anniversary.
Singer Runa Laila said, ‘I wish all the best to the NTV on behalf of the country’s all the singers.’
In his speech, Chashi Nazrul Islam said, ‘I love NTV’s programmes. I wish all the best to the NTV family. And I wish this television will continue providing all the nice programmes to the audiences in future.
Director Amjad Hossain said, ‘I appreciated the hard working attitude of the NTV staff and said not only just two years but also it will continue their nice working for long years.’
Abdul Hadi also wished the NTV’s standard programmes and said it will overcome its own standard through their hard working.
Later, the guests cut a spectacular cake to celebrate the occasion.
