NTV celebrates 6th anniversary in 2009

Dhaka: The first automation-based private satellite television channel of the country, International Television Channel Limited (NTV) celebrated its sixth anniversary on 3 July 2009.
With the slogan ‘Somoyer Sathe Agamir Pothe’ (heading towards the future with time) holding Bangla language and culture close to heart, Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali established the NTV on 3 July 2003.
The television channel celebrated its sixth year of success and tried to make the day memorable with boundless festivity.
Noted socialites, political leaders, eminent journalists and cultural figures attended the ceremony as honourable guests and some of them addressed the audience.
The then Information Minister Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, NTV Chairman Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali, veteran lawyer barrister Rafiqul Haque, Awami League leader Faruk Khan, BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, BNP Standing Committee member MK Anwar, and veteran Awami League leader Abdur Razzak addressed the anniversary, among others.
Minister Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad said, ‘NTV has expanded reputation in both country and abroad through its entertaining programmes and impartial news. We hope, in its 7th year, this electronic media will gather more proficiency to present Bangladesh’s history, culture in front of world.’
Showing gratitude to the cable operators, clients, artists and all members of the organisation, NTV Chairman Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali said, ‘You all know, each and every employees of NTV worked hard to reach here, during their journey to success they have received your blessings, love, and cooperation. So, I hope, you will share your ideas and opinions of how you want to see your favourite channel NTV in future, you will collaborate with NTV as you did it before.
Veteran lawyer barrister Rafiqul Haque said, ‘I applaud NTV for reaching this position in spite of facing a lot of hurdles on its way to success.’
Awami League leader Faruk Khan said, ‘I hope this seventh year of their journey will be a lucky one for them. They will achieve more fame this year.’
BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said, ‘NTV has already become renowned for its authentic news presentation and creative entertainment programmes, I hope, NTV will carry on this way in future.’
BNP Standing Committee member and former minister MK Anwar said, ‘As NTV steps into its seventh year, today I am expressing my gratitude to NTV’s journalists, artists, employees and administration.
Veteran Awami League leader Abdur Razzak said, ‘I wish NTV best of luck for reaching into their seventh year.’
Later, the guests cut a spectacular cake to celebrate the occasion.
