Dhaka: President Abdul Hamid left Dhaka for London on Friday morning for eye treatment and health check up.

A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:00am.

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, the Dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh, the British High Commissioner in Dhaka, cabinet secretary, the chiefs of three services and other high civil and military officials concerned saw him off at the airport.

The President is expected to return home on March 15.
