NTV celebrates 8th anniversary in 2011
Dhaka: International Television Channel Limited (NTV), one of the popular satellite television channels of the country, stepped into the ninth year on 3 July 2011.
NTV has successfully passed its eight years with the motto of fulfilling 100 per cent public interest by providing clear image, flawless sound and perfect broadcasting with most modern technology.
Starting its journey with talent, views and technology, the private television channels always left its footprint on the heart of its audience.
With the slogan ‘Shomoyer Shathe Agamir Pothe’, Moving ahead with time, NTV started its journey to foster Bengali language and culture as well as to move forward with the modern world in 2003.
Noted socialites, political leaders, eminent journalists and cultural figures attended the ceremony as honourable guests and some of them addressed the audience.
NTV Chairman Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali and the then Managing Director Enayetur Rahman welcomed the guests and addressed the audience on the occasion.
Among others, Awami League leader Sayed Ashraful Islam, then BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh Government Faruk Khan, BNP leader Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, Jatiya Party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, also former president, Awami League leader Obaidul Quader, Veteran politician Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, eminent lawyer of the country Barrister Rafiq ul Haque, Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal leader Dilip Barua, BNP leader MK Anwar, BNP leader and former Education Minister Osman Faruk, BNP senior leader Nazrul Islam Khan, Educationist Emajuddin Ahamed, Veteran journalist ABM Musa, Ha-Meem Group owner AK Azad, were present during the celebration.
Awami League leader Ashraful Islam conveyed his best wishes for NTV’s staff and audiences on behalf of his party. He said, ‘NTV has played an important role since its birth. NTV is not only a channel of news or entertainment, it also played role to display Bangladesh’s culture, literature, and tradition in front of the world. I hope, in future, NTV will keep playing such roles.’
BNP senior leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, NTV has completed its eights year and now going to step into ninth year. In this period, NTV had to face a lot of ups and downs. We believe, in future, NTV will help to recover and freed the danger-effected democracy of Bangladesh.
Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said, ‘NTV has made a place on the hearts of people, I hope, in future days, NTV will endure the place by presenting impartial news.’
Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh Government Faruk Khan said, ‘We all watch NTV’s programme, I also watch and like NTV’s programmes. I believe, the experience NTV has gathered on last eight years will help NTV to produce better programmes in future.’
BNP leader Khandaker Mahbub Hossain said with I commend the way NTV with its eight-year experience telecasted healthy entertainment programme and impartial journalism.
Jatiya Party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad wished a very happy birthday to NTV. He said, NTV presented the most impartial news. NTV has won the heart of Bangladeshis and in future, NTV will reach in a higher position in future.
Awami League leader Obaidul Quader said, ‘NTV’s smartness in presentation of programmes is really eye-catching, that’s why a big chunk of audiences and viewers like NTV.’
Veteran politician Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar said ‘Among the channels of Bangladesh, NTV with its objective journalism and other aspects proved that it has its individual originality.’
Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal leader Dilip Barua said, ‘On this special day of NTV we can make promises that NTV will play role to build up a culturally enriched Bangladesh.
Former minister and BNP leader MK Anwar said, ‘NTV played a vital role in presenting impartial journalism and other developmental programmes, I hope in future, they will play this role more successfully.’
BNP leader and former Education Minister Osman Faruk said, ‘NTV carried on its progress amid so many difficulties, and I hope in future they will take this growth further with sheer entertainment and unbiased news.’
BNP senior leader Nazrul Islam Khan said, ‘I hope NTV will carry on its brave steps for the deprived, and hapless people.’
Jatiya Party Co-Chairman GM Kader said, ‘I consider NTV’s news as impartial and objective, I hope, NTV will enhance the quality of its programmes even more.’
Eminent lawyer Barrister Rafiq ul Haque said, ‘The way NTV provides service for the country and its people, and presenting news, I hope in future NTV will remain the same. NTV will do more progress in future.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique said, ‘I hope NTV will provide their service to the doorstep of people as a media of education, information and entertainment at the same time.’
Educationist Emajuddin Ahamed said, ‘I wish more prosperity for NTV by the way its progressing forward utilizing its experience gathered in last eight years.’
Veteran journalist ABM Musa said, ‘The thing I like most about NTV is it telecasts programme beyond partiality and biasness.
Ha-Meem Group owner AK Azad said, ‘NTV plays a role in future industrialism and employment. In future, NTV will enhance this role more.’
Jatiya Party leader ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader said, ‘NTV never gives up, NTV’s staff and employees made progresses discounting difficulties. NTV is extra-ordinary in telecasting impartial and objective news. Best wishes for NTV’s advancement.’
Later, NTV Chairman Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali along with the guests cut a spectacular cake to celebrate the occasion.
