NTV celebrates eleventh anniversary in 2014

Dhaka: Country’s first automation-based private satellite television channel, International Television Channel Limited (NTV), celebrated its eleventh anniversary on 3 July 2014.

With the slogan ‘Somoyer Sathe Agamir Pothe’ (heading towards the future with time) holding Bangla language and culture close to heart, Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali established the NTV on 3 July 2003.

The television channel celebrated its eleventh year of success and tried to make the day memorable with boundless festivity.

Noted socialites, political leaders, eminent journalists and cultural figures attended the ceremony as honourable guests and some of them addressed the audience.

Eminent personnel of the country and cultural bodies came to the NTV office with garland marking the day.

NTV Chairman and Managing Director Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali welcomed the guests on the occasion and cut a spectacular cake to celebrate the day.

Among the guests, Jasad leader and Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu, BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Editor of The Daily Observer Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, BNP leader Abdul Moyeen Khan, BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, prominent journalist Golam Sarwar, noted journalist Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, the then Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, actors Zahid Hasan and Mahfuz Ahmed addressed the audiences.

In a short message Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali said, ‘I thank the almighty Allah, as the NTV has reached 12 years passing long journey.’

Hasanul Huq Inu said, ‘NTV has passed a long eleven years. NTV did not work giving preference to any political person and party so far. I have seen the NTV was working through maintaining objectivity, objectivity and objectivity.’

Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, ‘NTV is surviving still today only for its objectivity in news presentation and commitment to democracy.’

Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said, ‘I hope NTV will work to build good governance in Bangladesh.’
