Rajshahi: Police in an anti-crime drive seized 1.2 kilograms of heroin worth about Taka 1.2 crore at Char Boyarmari of Rajshahi’s Godagari last night, BSS reported quoting security officials.

Acting on a tip-off, a special police team conducted a drive in the frontier area and seized the heroin.

However, none could be arrested in this connection as the smugglers fled away leaving behind the contraband item sensing police appearance.

A case was filed with the concerned police station.
