Sherpur: Three motorcyclists were killed and another injured as the motorcycle collided with a bus in Tengrakhali intersection area of Nalitabari, Sherpur on Friday.

The deceased were Khorshed Alam, 19, Shahin Miah, 20, son of Sada Miah, and Asmat Ali, 21, son of Fazle Haque, hailing from Noyapara village of Baksiganj in Jamalpur.

Nalitabari Police officer-in-charge Fashiur Rahman said a Sherpur-bound bus from Nalitabari hit the motorcycle in the area at about 5:45am, leaving the trio dead on the spot and another critically injured.

The motorbike riders were returning home after attending a picnic in ‘Modhutila Eco Park’ in the upazila,  

The injured was rushed to Sherpur Zila Hospital.

Police seized the bus but the driver and helper fled away.
