106 sued over Chandpur Court Railway Station fire

Chandpur: A case was filed on Saturday against 106 people in connection with a fire that originated from illegal electricity line from Chandpur Court Railway Station on 7 February.
Seven shops and a room of railway security guards were gutted as a fire broke out from a short circuit at fruit shops adjacent to Chandpur Court Railway Station in the morning of the day.
The railways officials said the illegal electricity supply was given to those shops from the room of the security guards illegally.
Laksam Railway Station Senior Assistant Engineer (operation) Ram Narayan Dhar filed the case against six identified and 100 unidentified men with Chandpur Railway Police Station on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, a three-member committee formed by the Bangladesh Railways visited the spot on Saturday afternoon.
