Feni: A minor boy was killed as a pick-up van ran over him at Tulatoli in Sonagazi upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased is Ibrahim Rahat Russel, 10, son of Obaidul Haq of Swarajpur village in the upazila.

Moazzem Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sonagazi Police Station, said the fans of Argentina football team brought out a rally with 200 motorbikes and 10-12 pick-up vans around 5 pm ahead of their team’s football match against France.

At one stage, Russel was ran over by a pick-up van as he fell from it while enjoying with others around 7:30 pm, leaving him injured.

Later, he was taken to the Sonagazi Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead.
