Keraniganj: A schoolboy received burn injuries as miscreants threw acid on him at Kalmarchar area in Dakhshin Keraniganj on the outskirts of Dhaka on Monday.

The injured is Sajib, a class VIII student of a local school, reports UNB.

Sub-inspector Kashem of Dakhshin Keraniganj Police Station said some boys called out Sajib early in the morning and took him to Kalimsonyashi area.

Later, they threw acid on him which left him injured.

The injured was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
