Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon was hospitalised on Thursday following a fall during his morning walk.

The Minister sustained injuries in his ‘hip-joint’ as he fell down in front of the Minister’s residence at Minto Road in the city around 7:00am, said an official release of the Social Welfare Ministry, reports the UNB.

Immediately after the incident, the Minister was rushed to Square Hospital, it said.

‘He will undergo a surgery within two to three days and sought blessings from all for his recovery,’ said the release.
