Savar: Robbers looted valuables from four houses in Razfulbaria area in the town and violated a housewife early Sunday.

The victim’s family members said a gang of robbers numbering 15/16 stormed in the house of Mahinur Islam where four families live.

The robbers tied up the men of the families with rope at gunpoint around 4am, they said.

Later, the gang looted cash worth Tk 50,000, several tolas of gold, three auto-rickshaws, numbers of TV and mobile phone sets.

Being obstructed, the robbers allegedly violated a housewife and tried to violate a garment worker as well.

Besides, eight people were injured in the attack.

On information, police visited the spot, said Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.
