Bagerhat: A man and his son were killed and four others were injured in a road accident at Bisot crossing of Bagerhat-Moralganj Road under Kachua upazila in Bagerhat on Monday afternoon.

The victims are Sheikh Anwar Hossain, 85, and his son Humayun Kabir, 45. Both of them were on motorcycle and going to Moralganj to join a ceremony.

Kachua police officer-in-charge Shamsher Ali said motorcycle and a battery run bike collided head on at Bisot road crossing. Following the collision father Anwar Hossain and son Humayun Kabir received wounds and succumbed to injuries on way to hospital. Four others including two women were injured.

Injured persons were admitted to a local clinic.
