Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, also the chairperson of executive committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) left Dhaka for London Friday night.

The CPA chairperson will perform her official work there at the CPA headquarters till February 3, said an official release.

Besides, she will join an international conference titled "Human Rights in the Modern Day Commonwealth: 'Magna Carta to Commonwealth Charter'" at the House of Parliament in London and 2nd BIMR British Islands and Mediterranean Region, CWP (Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians) Conference in Gibraltar.

She is scheduled to return on February 9.
