CTG students to join classes Monday
Chattogram: Being assured that their nine-point demands along with their own ones are to be implemented, students of Chattogram district on Sunday vowed to join their classes from Monday.
The protesting students took the decision after the Deputy Commissioner of the district Ilias Hossain gave in to their demands while addressing a meeting held at the DC office on afternoon.
The DC promised augmenting the number of BRTC buses and ensuring speed-breakers and traffic police in front every educational institution in the city, in accordance with the students’ demands.
Ilias Hossain also pledged to talk to the authorities of Hanif Paribahan for halving the fare for the students.
Student representatives from different educational institutions and leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League were also present during the meeting.
