Dhaka: Bangladesh Mohila Awami League on Wednesday arranged a milad and doa mahfil in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 in the capital after Asr prayers marking the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the milad and doa mahfil.

Bangabandhu’s younger daughter Sheikh Rehana, PM’s daughter Saima Wazed Hossain Putul and her husband Khandakar Mashroor Hossain, Sheikh Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby as well as other family members and relatives of the Prime Minister joined the milad.

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury and leaders and workers of Mohila Awami League and Jubo Mohila League attended the milad.

A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage.

Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the August 21 grenade attack victims.
