Sylhet: A woman was killed and her husband severely injured in an incident of landslide at a stone quarry in Balughat area of Gowainghat upazila in sylhet on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Gowainghat police officer-in-charge Md Delowar Hossain said Chaina Begum, a resident of Shoti village of the upazila, along with her husband Kala Miah was collecting stones from a quarry when one side of the hole collapsed and both of them fell under the mud.

Chaina Begum died on the spot.

Locals sent injured Kala Miah to Sylhet Osmani Medical College.
