Dhaka: A pair of sisters were sexually assaulted in a slum in the city’s Banani area.

The two girls— one aged around 4 years and the other 9 years—were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical check-ups, reports the UNB.

Mother of the victims said a next-door sexagenarian, Kalam (65), took her elder daughter to his house four days ago promising ice-cream and sexually harassed her mercilessly.

Just two days after the harassment, Kalam took the 4-year-old to meet up his lust.

After the younger sister spoke up on Tuesday, the elder one disclosed her own ordeal.

Meanwhile Kalam had been trying to intimidate the family and  threatened the sisters and later their mother not to reveal the incidents.

‘Failing to get response from policemen, I have brought my daughters to DMCH for medical check-ups,’ the mother claimed.

Sub-inspector of DMCH police camp Bacchu Mia said, the two girls were sent to Gynecology department for medical-checkups.
