Kushtia: At least three people including a child were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a three-wheeler on Kushta-Jhenaidah highway in Bottala area on Wednesday noon.

Two of the deceased were identified as Shahbul, 12, of Daulatpur upazila and Shipon, 28, of Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga district while the identity of the child could not be known immediately.

Eyewitnesses said the accident took place as a Kushtia bound truck hit the three-wheeler around 2 pm, leaving two dead on the spot and injuring four others.

Later, one of them died at Kushtia General Hospital while undergoing treatment.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the hospital.
