Laxmipur: A motorcyclist was killed and another seriously injured at Samra in Ramganj upazila on Ramganj-Hajiganj road on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Faruk Hossain, son of Hossain Mia of Kolochma in Ramganj upazila.

The injured, Makbul Hossain, another rider of the motorbike, was admitted to Ramganj Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramganj Police Station Md Tota Mia said the accident took place when the motorbike crashed into a microbus, leaving the duo seriously injured.

They were taken to the sadar hospital where Faruk was declared dead, the OC added.
