DMCH physician hurt in bombing
Dhaka: A Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) woman physician was seriously injured as miscreants set off several crude bombs near the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Saturday.
Witnesses said Mahnaz Tabassum Prova, an assistant registrar of the hospital, suffered splinter injuries as 2-3 crude bombs went off on the road while she was passing by the Shaheed Minar area by a rickshaw at about 2:45pm.
The rickshaw carrying Prova overturned on the road as its puller tried to escape hurriedly after the blasts.
The injured doctor was admitted to the DMCH.
