Rajshahi: A man was killed and 20 people were injured as a bus overturned on a road at Belpukur in Puthia upazila early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam, 30.

Senior Station officer Farhad Hossain Rupa of Rajshahi Sadar Fire Service and Civil Defence said that the Dhaka-bound ‘Rupa Enterprise’ bus from Chapainawabganj overturned on the road in front of Belpukur BGB checkpost around 12:45, leaving 21 passengers injured.

The injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared Aminul dead, said Mostafizur Rahman, sub-inspector of Shibpur Highway Police outpost.
