Chattogram: Two bus passengers were killed and 25 others injured after a train rammed the vehicle at Bariyarhat Rail Crossing in Mirsharai upazila early Sunday.

One of the deceased was identified as Sunimal Chakma.

The accident took place when Chattogram-bound ‘Bijoy Express’ hit a Khagrachhari-bound bus of ‘S Alam Paribahan’ in the area around 4 am, leaving the duo dead on the spot, saidRobiul Azam, station officer of Mirsharai Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The accident halted rail communication on Dhaka-Chattagram route for two and half hours.
