Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity Secretary General Mozammel Haque Chowdhury.

Dhaka: Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity Secretary General Mozammel Haque Chowdhury was arrested from his Sanarpar residence in Siddhirganj early Thursday.

He was arrested in a case filed with Mirpur Model Police Station on extortion charges from his residence around 3 am, said Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station.

However, the details of the case could not be known immediately.
