Chapai Nawabganj: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized around 10 kg of gunpowder from Wahedpur border area in Shibganj upazila on Thursday afternoon, according to a UNB report.

Tipped off, a patrol team of Wahedpur border outpost of BGB conducted the drive in the area around 1pm and recovered the gunpowder in an abandoned condition, said a press release signed by Major Minnat Ali, Additional Director of Chapainawabganj BGB battalion-9.

BGB members later handed over the explosive substance to Shibganj Police Station.
