Comilla: Miscreants set fire to a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Chandina in Comilla on Saturday night.

The Unique Paribahan bus was torched at Bagur area of Chandina at about 11:30pm.

Bus driver Abdul Majid told NTV Online that miscreants put the Chittagong bound bus on fire as it neared Chandina bus stand.

Two Chandina fire service units went to the spot and doused the flame.

Chandina upazila nirbahi officer Sheikh Saleh Ahammad and Chadina police officer-in-charge Golam Morshed visited the place after the incident.

Vehicles plying on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway were halted for half an hour following the arson attack.

Chadina police OC Golam Morshed said communications on the highway resumed at about 1:00am on Sunday.
