Lakshmipur: Miscreants hacked a farmer to death at sadar upazila in Lakshmipur on Saturday night.

The deceased is Mohammad Dulal, 40, a resident of Hashandi village of Hamcchadi union.

Police suspect the murder may have been committed over a land dispute.

Dulal had a dispute with his younger brother Jokan Ali, 35, for a long time.

Lakshmipur assistant police superintendent Zunayet Kawsar said the miscreants hacked Dulal and left him in critical condition in front his residence. Later he died near Palerhat area on his way to hospital.
