2 JnU students suspended for ‘harassing’ female admission seeker
Dhaka: Jagannath University (JnU) authorities on Tuesday suspended two of its students for allegedly sexually harassing a female admission seeker.
The action was taken against Joynul Abedin and Md Mobarak Thakur Prince, both first year students of Marketing department, said a press release issued by the JnU public relations office.
A show-cause notice was also served on them asking them to explain in seven days why they should not be expelled from the university, reports the UNB.
On October 6, Joynul and Mobarak harassed the female admission aspirant while she was passing by the Science faculty on the campus after the entry test.
Following a complaint lodged with the Proctor office, both of them were handed over to police who later released them on bond.
