Habiganj 4-kid killing: Another suspect confesses to his part
Habiganj: Another suspect reportedly confessed before a local court on Sunday to his involvement in the killing of four children at Sundrateki village in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj, reported UNB.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Kaushik Ahmed Khandakar recorded the statement of Jewel Miah under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in the afternoon, said court sources.
Earlier, his younger brother Rubel Miah made confessional statement before the court on Friday. He described the details of the incident before the court.
Four schoolboys who had gone missing from Sundrateki village in Bahubal upazila on February 12 were found buried at the village February 17.
Informed by locals, police recovered the bodies of Zakaria Ahmed Shuvo, 8, son of Wahid Miah, his two cousins -Tajel Miah, 10, son of Abdul Aziz, Monir Miah, 7, son of Abdal Miah - and Ismail Hossain, 10, son of Abdul Quadir.
On February 17, police arrested Abdul Ali and his son Jewel Miah in connection with the gruesome murder. They were placed on a 10-day remand the following day.
Police had also arrested Rubel, Arju, Bashir and Saleh Uddin in connection with the incident.
