Chattogram: The decision on giving permission to Oikyafront for holding a rally at Laldighi field will be taken on Friday, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman on Thursday.

The CMP commissioner said this when Oikya front leaders to CMP office to meet the commissioner.

Abu Sufian, senior vice-president of Chattogram city BNP, who was in the Oikyafront delegation, said that they came to meet with the commissioner for seeking permission for holding rally, reports the UNB.

‘We are expecting that we will get permission from police,’ he said.

Former minister and BNP leader Zafrul Islam Chowdhury, Jalal Uddin Mazumder, assistant organizing secretary of BNP central committee, Harunur Rashid, Jasod leader Golam Zilani Chowdhury, advocate Jan-e-Alam of Gana Forum, were in the team.

Idris Ali, publicity secretary of city BNP, said that the Government Muslim High School has allowed them to hold the rally at the field and now they are waiting for police permission.
