Complaint against BCL leader over harassing 2 college girls

Chapainawabganj: A written complaint has been filed against Nachole upazila Bangladesh Chhatra League president over stalking, harassing and torturing two college girls.
Motiur Rahman Khokon, former general secretary of upazila unit BCL, also uncle of one victim, filed the complaint against the BCL leader Abdullah Al Mahmud Shovon on Wednesday noon, said Chowdhury Jubayer Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Nachole Police Station, reports the UNB.
In the complaint, Khokon mentioned that the BCL president used to stalk his niece, who is a student of Nachole Mahila College, for long.
On Tuesday afternoon, when the college girl with her classmate was returning from their coaching centre, Shovon along with his 6/7 fellows obstructed her and tried to pick her up in his motorcycle. As the girl’s friend protested the incident, Shovon beat the girl and harassed her.
Hearing the girls screaming, local people rushed in but Shovon gave them life threats.
However, Shovon claimed that the allegation brought against him was false and was fabricated to destroy his political image. He had no involvement with the incident, he said.
