College girl found with her throat slit in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar: A college girl was found with her throat slit at her house at Charpara village in Ukhia Upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Sharmina Akhter, 17, daughter of Abu Taher of the village and Class-XI student of Ukhia Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Mahila College, reports the UNB.
Locals claimed Sharmina returned home from her college around 1:30pm when her parents were out of home.
Later, victim’s mother Jahanara Begum found Sharmina’s body lying on the floor slaughtered around 2:30pm.
Officer-in-Charge of Ukhia Police Station Abul Khaer said police are investigating the killing.
