Dhaka: Female journalists under the banner of ‘Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra’ (BNSK) formed a human chain in the city on Sunday to express solidarity with the #MeToo movement.

Journalists from different print, electronic and online media formed the human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club from 11:30 am to 1 pm, reports the UNB.

Expressing solidarity with the women who already disclosed their harassment with the #MeToo tag in Bangladesh, they demanded for investigation of allegations and punishment of the harasser. 

Bangladeshi social activist Khushi Kabir and Dhaka University Journalism Department Professor Gitiara Nasreen, BNSK President Nasimun Ara Haq Minu, secretary Parvin Sultana Jhuma and Television channel Banglavision’s News Editor Sharmin Rinvi, among others, attended the human chain.
