Minor boy rescued 48-hr after abduction in Chattogram

Chattogram: Police rescued a minor boy from Noyarhat in Sandwip upazila on Thursday morning 48-hour after his abduction from his school.

The rescued boy is Awsaf Hossain Jorif, son of bank official Md Jacob Prokash Shiblu, a resident of Kuchiamora under 70 no ward in Bauria union, reports the UNB.

On Tuesday noon, a middle-age woman, abducted Jorif,7, addressing herself as his grandmother while he was returning home from school in a school van.

Locals found Jorif in a house in the west of Noyarhat around 11:15 am and surrounded the house and informed police, said Mohammad Shahjahan, officer-in-charge of Sandwip Police Station.

Later, police rescued Jorif from the house and arrested three people, including a woman, in connection with the abduction.

The arrestees are taxi driver Sanu, 28, van driver Humayun 50 and Tahmina, 36.
