Naogaon: Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly picked up a Bangladeshi youth from Adatola bordering area in Sapahar upazila on Saturday.

The BSF members dragged away Zakirul Islam, 18, a HSC candidate and son of Ataur Rahman of Uttarpatari village in the upazila, when he entered into Indian territory near border pillar no. 244 in the afternoon, said Nayek Subedar Zahangir Hossain, company commander of Adatola camp of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), reports the UNB.

Meanwhile, the BGB sent a letter to BSF for a flag meeting to return back the young man immediately.

However, no response was delivered from BSF camp till 7pm Saturday, he added.
