Dhaka: Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain is going to brief journalists on Sunday about the country’s overall political situation and election atmosphere.

The press meet will be held at the Jatiya Press Club at 1pm, Gano Forum media wing member Latiful Bari Hamim said, reports the UNB.

Gano Forum Training Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam Pathik said Dr Kamal will talk about various issue relating to the next general election and the country’s latest political situation.

A party leader wishing anonymity said their top leader may talk about the ‘inaction’ of the Election Commission in ensuring a level-playing field, stopping arrest and harassment of opposition activists and the ‘bias’ role of the police and civil admiration officials, including EC secretary Helal Uddin.

Besides, he said, Dr Kamal is also likely to place some demands for reshuffling the police and civil administrations and removing partisan officials from election duties for ensuring credible polls.

At the press conference, the Gano Forum leader said, some politicians may join their party.
