Dhaka: The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has ordered the International Internet Gateway (IIG) operators to block the access to 58 news portals of the county.

The order was given on Sunday based on recommendations of the government and law enforcement agencies, Jakir Hossain Khan, BTRC’s senior assistant director (media), told UNB on Monday, reports the UNB.

The news portals include priyo.com, risingbd.com, poriborton.com, dhakatimes24.com, bdpolitico.com, bnpnews24.com, dnn.news, razniti24.com, BNPonlinewing.com, en.bnpbangladesh.com, bnpbangladesh.com, banglamail71.info, bbarianews24.com, and shibir.org.bd.
