Gazipur: Four suspected robbers were injured in a firing by Detective Branch of Gazipur police in Kodda area at Islampur of Gazipur early on Friday.

DB officials claimed the four suspected robbers were fleeing the spot after robbing in a garment factory.

Detectives said several miscreants including the four suspected robbers were prowling Oshan garments and were about to flee from the spot.

DB sub-inspector Iqbal Hossain told NTV Online that police saw the suspected robbers were running away from the garment factory at about 3:00am.

The detectives opened fire to hold them and four of the miscreants received bullets.

The other miscreants manage to escape from the spot, said SI Iqbal.

Police said, the bullet-hit men were taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College.
